TENAN CONDUCTS LUCIANO BERIO SINFONIA PER OTTO VOCI ED ORCHESTRA
As a counterpoint to the Mahler 2nd uploaded, here are the same forces in the early 80s peforming the famous 3rd mvmt of Luciano Berio's Sinfonia.
This movement is a parody of the Scherzo of Mahler's 'Resurrection' Symphony, in the composer's words, creating "the image of that of a river running through a constantly changing landscape, disappearin...

for female voice (1965-1966). Luciano Berio wrote it for his wife, the singer. As part of his Sequenza-series, Berio explores the human voice as the instrument that it is. Swiss author Markus Kutter provided for the lines: "give me a few words for a woman to sing a truth allowing us to build a house without worrying before night comes"
Luftklavier by the Italian composer Luciano Berio performed by Miguel Brito, October 2007 at the Escuela Superior de Mùsica in Mexico City. Contemporary piano music.
This gigantic work for the guitar is the bedrock of the contemporary classical guitar.

The landmark piece for recorder dedicated to Brüggen by Berio.
(deviations from the published score..?!)
This is the first movement of the Sinfonia by Luciano Berio, performed by the CBSO conducted by Simon Rattle. For this movement Berio used fragments of the book The raw and the cooked, by french anthropologist Claude Levi-Strauss; however, Levi-Strauss was not aware of the aproach that the italian composer used when he used the book as a major sour...
This is the second movement of the Sinfonia by Luciano Berio, performed by the CBSO conducted by Simon Rattle. This is the orchestral version of the work O King, composed by Berio in honor of Martin Luther King. The other version is forvoice, flute, clarinet, violin, cello and piano.
Enjoy and feel free to comment.
this is not Dave Day, nor a graduate student, nor a clown performing Berio's Sequenza V. This is Harrison Reed, amateur trombonist with little or no training. If you like multiphonics, Berio, the trombone, or ridiculous atonal music that is not at all pleasant to the ears, this is the piece for you.

One of the very first works of Berio as an individual composer. Here he started moving into adventurous serial realms, coming from a rather Bartókian and Stravinskian background.

for oboe (1969). Rendering by Heinz Holliger, for whom it was composed. According to a known music critic "a sequence of tight acrobatic figures along the tightrope of a sustained B natural, an electronic drone, to which the solist keeps returning. This is, then, a monotone like the central song of 'Chamber Music' (...). A composer's portrait of a ...

I didn't really like the changes to Berio in DSJ (which carried over to Xross Scramble of course), but she still can pull her weight.
She lost her cheesy corner trap with Holy Walls, her single target damage, but she gained more crowd control with her new Holy Wall and controllable Holy Splash.
Also, one thing that makes Berio fun is her backdash...
