Mindstorms NXT Rubik's Cube Solver
by Daniele Benedettelli
Before getting into competition battling robots I played a lot with LEGO Mindstorms. The toy helped me learn a lot about mechanics that we applied to building our robots.
Built by the robotics group of our school.
Mindstorms NXT machine which sorts out 5 different colours using only two motors and the light sensor.
This robot demonstrates iPhone to Lego Robotics communication via the Safari web browser and the Lego NXT Light Sensor. Visit http://www.battlebricks.com for full building instructions.

Fifth in the www.motocube.com line of Ball Lego Ball throwers, this one manages about 30ft. Sadly I don't have a 30ft large room to test it in, so this is all you get.
This is a direct copy of Phillippe Hurbain's NXTWay which imitates a Segway using the NXT. This is a very plucky version that always tries to move forward. Links and details at http://www.robotthoughts.com
Take a look at what we did this winter... Software guys playing around with Lego Mindstorms.
Using an RCX, 3 Motors, the Infrared Remote, Large trash bags, and lots of helium, my son and I created a steerable blimp.
Two of the motors controlled propellers (made from a LEGO propeller with larger blades made out of packaging plastic). The third motor controlled the tilt of the two propellers.
Each propeller can be separately controlled. ...

Video is sped up 3 times.
Robot is completely rebuilt, accuracy is much beter now. Code is also improved, we can draw diagonal lines now!
Drawing text requested by pucins in my previous video :)

NXT balancing robot using the HiTechnic Gyro Sensor. Designed and developed by Roy Watanabe, Waseda University Japan.
Here is another look at the Lego Mindstorms NXT Holonomic Platform. You can find more details at http://www.robotthoughts.com
football of lego robots. final exercise of adaptive robots course. that was fun :). Our robot starts on the right.
they are definitely NOT remote controlled, that's kinda the whole idea that the should be autonomous, or at least we tried to make them as autonomous as possible.
the robot has a color camera (that is not a standard lego thing, we co...

A 1. semester student from Aalborg University, Health Science, is testing face remotecontrol on a Lego Mindstorm NXT car. The intention is to find the best practice for remotecontolling a wheelchair.
RoboFlush has one purpose, to flush a toilet. Using the Lego Mindstorms NXT Kit, with a motor, touch sensor for manual flushing, and the ultrasonic sensor for flush detection, RoboFlush removes the need to flush your own toilet. Check out http://www.battlebricks.com for instructions and more!
X6 Hexaped, walker. Outdoor testing. The cold had a bit of a slowing of the pneumatic parts. This was the first test out doors in the dirt. A work in progress. This versions main concern was to try to get all the parts inside as compared to the first.

an hybrid robot made by Lego Mindstorms.
This is part 1 of a brief introduction and tutorial to LEGO Mindstorms NXT. Topics discussed are (1) what is included with the NXT robotics kit and (2) how to build a simple NXT robot.
See part 2 for a look at (3) programming an NXT robot and (4) testing an NXT robot.

This video shows how to couple a video camera with the Lego Mindstorms NXT, enabling NXT-based robots to orient themselves in their environment, extract information from the environment, and react to it. The camera used is the CMUcam3, an open source programmable embedded color vision platform. The NXT and the CMUcam3 are coupled using a I2C-to-RS2...
