I tried to see how close I could get to a whitetail deer in my back yard and I decided to grab the family video camera to capture the event. I was able to get 3 yards(maybe less) away from the deer until my dog came out and make quite a scene..

So I'm pretty sure my wiener dog is half ninja. He's a pure athlete, and loves to play fetch. We just never though he'd fetch a plastic baby pool 3 times his size when we tossed it in our backyard irrigation.

On April 28, 2007, Lupe competed in the Wiener Dog Races in Buda, TX. She is in lane 4 (center) and wearing the green collar. Faye is her handler (black t-shirt). Though she was DNF for the qualifying race, she came back for the fun run later in the day and was able to successfully cross the finish line.

Each year in Buda Texas the Lions Club host the County fair, and one of the featured activities are the wiener dog races. Now, people from all over the US bring their Dachshund to dress up and run!
