[Notes:emergency vehicles driving into zoo] And when the Skyfari ride shut down...police officers and firefighters came to the rescue. [Notes:NYPD HANDOUT of rescue]The people in the car that derailed were lowered to safety in a fire department basket. [Notes:close of people inside gondolas] The rest of the passengers stayed put until officials got the ride moving again.SOT: Sheila Teotonio, Stuck Passenger: "The got us out and then the lady started screaming, saying that they should never put people there when it's raining. and it was just a chaos." [Notes:various of people in gondolas, ride not moving]Authorities say 30 adults and seven children were stuck on the ride - [Notes:close of group in gondola giving thumbs up] one group even gave a news crew a thumbs up. In the end, the trapped passengers walked off their gondolas at a regular exit platform.The Skyfari ride passes over the butterfly garden, the baboon habitat and part of the African plains exhibit - where lions and gazelles roam free. ___ ___, The Associated Press
