Allan Beswick was a late night local radio show here in Lancashire that had a cult following. Some of it seems a bit dated now, but at the time this radio show was in a league if it's own.
My friends and myself used to ring him up quite frequently. Though not on this clip.
This recording is from 1984/85.
Back to the swinging 60's and Ready Steady Go where The Beatles meet Crass!
Well perhaps not Crass, but Jeremy Ratter (Penny Rimbaud) the drummer of the most notorious anarchist punk band.

Siouxsie and the Banshees playing Arabian Nights live.
At the end of this clip I wounder if the rest of the band are looking at the floor because they are so embarrassed when the bass player is spouting out so much shit about being the 'ultimate punk rock band'?!
The Jam playing 'Precious' in 1982. They also played 'Town Called Malice' on the same programme being that the double A side was Number 1 in the charts.
Another song from the same TV programme as Chop Chop was performed in 1981.

Daves guitar goes abit out of tune, but it's still a rocking performance. This was filmed around when the single first came out.
Siouxsie and the Banshees - Fireworks
Echo and the Bunnymen - Back of Love
I love John Peel introducing this song.Makes me feel quite old.I remember on his radio show at the time, John being really worried about his first TOTP's hosting session. He made a cock up or something back in 1968 and couldn't remember the name of the artist about to play and the camera stayed on him and in the end moved onto the band.It also feels...
'...here's the Anti Nowhere League'.
From 'Riverside' back in 1982.
This again was a performance from the programme 'Riverside' back in 1982.

Siouxsie and the Banshees - Dear Prudence back in 1983.
Filmed in the USA in 1985.
Some nobhead in the crowd starts causing trouble and gets more than he bargained for.
This is what the people want. This is why we have to put up with the rubbish we do.
This is how you start concerts.......Bang.......Bang....Bang.
'Beverly Hills, century city
everything's so nice and pretty'
Live in 1983.
Again when I taped this I don't think I had heard REM before so I only taped one full song to see if I liked it.I taped bits of the others because they sounded OK.
I really wish had kept the record button firmly pressed for the duration of the set now.
